CWB Qualified Welder, Journeyman Ironworker

Zachary attended La Cité Collégiale’s 2-year welder / metallurgy program, first obtaining all-position SMAW welding qualifications through the CWB in 2013. Following college Zachary worked as a welder until he joined the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworker’s apprenticeship program in 2016. Over the course of this apprenticeship Zachary earned the opportunity to become a general foreman in 2019 for a well respected company in Toronto and obtained an Interprovincial Red Seal qualification in 2022 as a Journeyman Ironworker.

Zachary held a business development management position for a national defence company through a slow period in the ironworking trade. As a result, he acquired experience in project management, relationship building, bid review / bid submission, regulatory compliance and contract negotiation.

CWB Qualified Welder, Journeyman Ironworker

Martin attended La Cité Collégiale’s 2-year welder / fitter program, first obtaining all-position SMAW welding qualifications through the CWB in 2015. Following college, Martin joined the International Association of Bridge, Structural, Ornamental and Reinforcing Ironworker’s apprenticeship program, qualifying for the Interprovincial Red Seal in 2022 as a Journeyman Ironworker. 

During a period of time away from the ironworking trade, Martin completed the Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario’s licensing program, and the Association of Condominium Managers of Ontario’s RCM professional designation. As a result, he acquired years of experience in this multi-disciplinary field including financial administration of non-profit corporations, physical building maintenance and operation, budgetary planning, regulatory compliance, contract negotiation, project management and stakeholder engagement.
